On Saturday, July 18, nearly 40 local motorcycle enthusiasts teamed up for the annual Breeze for Needs event, which this year raised funds for the Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home in Chaska. The annual half-day ride takes bikers on a cruise throughout Carver County and concludes with food, beverages, and shopping—for bikers and nonbikers alike—at the Crow River Harley-Davidson in Delano. This year’s event raised $1,360 to support the new hospice facility, which will have its public housewarming event on Thursday, September 17!
The Delano Sports Center co-coordinates Breeze for Needs each year with Ridgeview Foundation to honor Dave Johnson, who was an employee of the center for more than 25 years and, unfortunately, died of cancer in 2004. Again this year, a good time was had by all!
