Ridgeview partners with the Minneapolis Heart Institute® at Abbott Northwestern Hospital to provide expanded cardiology services that integrate with our previous—and continuing—service offerings. The partnership forms the new Minneapolis Heart Institute at Ridgeview Heart Center.
For many years, cardiologists from the Minneapolis Heart Institute* have seen patients at Ridgeview and our associated clinics, providing inpatient cardiology consultations, outpatient consultations and cardiac imaging. With the Ridgeview partnership, patients in the growing west-metro area now have access to world-class cardiovascular care that is typically not available at a regional medical center of Ridgeview’s size.
The Ridgeview Heart Center offers comprehensive cardiovascular services that include critical care diagnostic testing and treatment, vascular services and a state-of-the-art catheterization lab. We have the most advanced equipment and systems, as well as the medical expertise and personal care to make a difference in our patient experience—all close to the patient's home, family and primary care physician.
Our Heart Center programs address the full range of cardiac care needs: prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation. As part of ongoing chronic cardiovascular disease management, Ridgeview's nationally certified cardiac rehabilitation program helps patients to improve their quality of life through education, counseling and exercise.
Family and visitor amenities at the Ridgeview Heart Center include a lounge with kitchenette and shower, a fireside waiting area, a private consultation room and computer data ports with Internet access. For those without a laptop, a computer kiosk is available near the large Garden View rotunda. This family-centered waiting area features a trickling water sculpture and windows all around for views of the town, countryside and rooftop garden.
In 2009, Ridgeview earned a three-year accreditation as a Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers, demonstrating Ridgeview's expertise assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients quickly, as well as continually seeking to improve processes and procedures. View our stats.
