Five-Star Recognition by CMS

Ridgeview is recognized as a five-star hospital by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). CMS assigns star ratings to hospitals nationwide based on their performance of more than 100 measures across five quality categories — mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience and timely and effective care.

CMS developed its ‘Overall Hospital Quality Star Ratings’ program to help consumers make informed health care decisions by giving them a way to compare hospitals based on quality ratings. Hospitals receive between one and five stars, with five stars being the highest rating. Ridgeview was among just 13 Minnesota hospitals and 429 nationwide to receive the five-star Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating for 2022.
