Ridgeview Arlington Campus to host free public picnic Aug. 17 to celebrate 75th anniversary
Ridgeview Arlington Campus is celebrating 75 years of service to the greater Sibley County community. As Sibley County grows and the needs of the community evolve, Ridgeview’s commitment to provide expert care, expanded services and state-of-the-art technology remains a top priority for the region.
“Ridgeview is deeply grateful for the significant support of the greater Sibley County community – yesterday and today – including the generous donations from individuals, families, businesses and employees who helped to open the hospital in 1948 and who are helping us to continue to grow quality health care services,” said Mike Phelps, President and CEO, Ridgeview. “We look forward helping to improve the health of all who live and work in Sibley County … for generations to come.”
Following Sibley Medical Center’s affiliation in 2014, Ridgeview has expanded both the facility and services – including a significant renovation of the Arlington Campus in 2020 that included reconstruction of the Emergency Department, patient and trauma rooms, nurses' station, waiting area and lab.
In partnership with Allina Health, a telestroke program and enhanced neurology care with its teleneurology program was introduced to the Arlington Campus in October 2021. In December 2022, Ridgeview partnered with Allina Health to also add tele-critical care services.
Many of the improvements at the Arlington Campus were made possible due to the $350,000 raised by Ridgeview Foundation for the Ridgeview Arlington Campus. Most recently, Ridgeview Foundation raised $19,000 at its 3rd annual Arlington Open, all of which helped fund the re-opening of the Arlington Campus hospital kitchen and enhancements to the telehealth program.
Ridgeview physicians and providers provide care for Arlington Campus patients.
Ridgeview hospitalists see patients at the Arlington Campus seven days a week. This enhanced care model began in 2020. They visit patients daily, provide continuous, ongoing care to hospitalized patients.
The Emergency Department in Arlington is staffed by physicians and advanced practice providers from Emergency Physicians & Consultants, P.A. (EMPAC) – the same emergency medicine team that provides emergency care at all four Ridgeview hospital locations.
