Ridgeview recertified to ISO 9001 Quality Management System by DNV
Ridgeview has been awarded full certification to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System by Det Norske Veritas (DNV).
This certification reflects Ridgeview’s continued commitment to consistency, quality improvement and patient satisfaction. It ensures progress is constantly being made—with discipline and transparency—toward specific quality objectives set forth by the ISO 9001 standards.
“Achieving ISO 9001 certification is proof of our organizational commitment to quality. The certification process evaluates our adherence to our policies, procedures and quality improvement work,” Mike Phelps, president and CEO, Ridgeview, said. “We are one of the few health systems in Minnesota to achieve this goal and it takes dedication from everyone across the organization—clinical and non-clinical. This demonstrates continued great work by our Ridgeview colleagues.”
ISO 9001 is the most widely accepted quality management system in use around the world. It is quickly gaining acceptance among U.S. health care providers as a foundation for their quality and patient safety programs. Certification to ISO 9001 is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, motivation and implication of top management and continual improvement across the organization.
