Ridgeview named among the Top 5% of hospitals in the nation for Surgical Care Excellence and Joint Replacement from Healthgrades

2025 Healthgrades awards

Ridgeview has again been nationally recognized for clinical excellence from Healthgrades®, a reputable resource patients trust when searching for a doctor or hospital. Ridgeview has been named one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Surgical Care™ in 2025 ― ranking among the top 5% in the nation in this category. Additionally, Healthgrades named Ridgeview among America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Joint Replacement™ for the second year in a row, again placing Ridgeview among the top 5% in the nation. Ridgeview is the only hospital in Minnesota to receive these two awards for 2025 and is one of only two in the state to receive the America’s 50 Best Hospitals for Surgical Care Award.

“A regional health care system that performs among the best in the state – and nation – is something to be proud of,” said Mike Phelps, president and CEO, Ridgeview. “At Ridgeview, patients receive top notch care in a culture and environment founded on kindness, compassion and intuition. It’s the cornerstone of who we are, and our patient surveys tell us the same. We continue to hear that the Ridgeview experience is remarkably different from what patients encounter elsewhere.”

These achievements from Healthgrades are based solely on patient outcome data. As part of its 2025 hospital assessment, Healthgrades evaluated risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates for more than 30 of the most common conditions and procedures at approximately 4,500 hospitals nationwide to determine the top performers in specialty care. By offering easy access to objective performance measures, Healthgrades helps consumers find and select a hospital that excels in providing the care they need.
