Jason A. Kallestad, MD

Jason Kallestad, MD, provides palliative care through Ridgeview Specialty Clinic and at Ridgeview Medical Center on the Waconia Campus. For patients with serious illnesses, Dr. Kallestad focuses on symptom management, emotional and spiritual support (for patients and their loved ones). He helps families navigate difficult medical decisions. Dr. Kallestad discusses difficult topics with honesty and compassion. In addition to practicing palliative medicine since 2011, Dr. Kallestad was an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Minnesota from 2011 to 2016 and was a co-chair of the Fairview Southdale Hospital Ethics Committee from 2013 to 2016. He is currently a co-chair of the Ridgeview Ethics Committee.
