Treatments and Medications

Ridgeview providers may prescribe oral antivirals to eligible individuals. Oral antivirals are a pill taken for the treatment of COVID-19 in certain higher-risk individuals.

Treatment must be given within five days of the start of symptoms and as soon as possible after a positive COVID-19 test. Your health care provider will work with you to determine eligibility and the best treatment options for you.

The two available medications are:

• Paxlovid (Nirmatrelvir with Ritonavir)
• Lagevrio (Molnupiravir), which is for patients who cannot have Paxlovid or other COVID-19 treatments

Patient assistance programs are available for COVID-19 oral antivirals for those who qualify.
