Nurse Residency Program for New Graduates

Ridgeview’s Nurse Residency Program offers the support registered nurse (RN) graduates need to gain autonomy, competency and confidence as they enter their nursing careers.

In partnership with the University of Iowa, Ridgeview’s Nurse Residency Program provides additional training to our nurses. This training helps them transition their classroom learning to real-time bedside care. It gives nurses the tools to build effective decision-making skills and enhance clinical judgment — ensuring the best care for our patients.

What to Expect

Enrollment into Ridgeview’s Nurse Residency Program is an automatic process for newly hired RN graduates. This experience is an opportunity for growth and development as new graduates transition from student to professional practice.

Ridgeview’s Nurse Residency Program is a 12-month transition-to-practice experience. To meet the needs of the learner and ensure that new graduates have the tools they need to be successful, the program utilizes a combination of online modules and live monthly discussions. Our dedicated team of mentors will be there to support you through your journey.
