Phase 3: Enhancing Safety and Expanding Access for All Patients
We’re embarking on the largest phase yet in our multi-year, Cause for the Community campaign. Phase 3 will focus on enhancing safety and expanding access for the 300,000 residents in our seven-county service area.
Your support will help place Ridgeview at the forefront of modern health care. Here’s how:
Critical Access Hospitals: Arlington and Le Sueur
The team at Ridgeview Le Sueur Campus deeply understands how health care screenings and diagnostics can improve health care in the community. To meet the needs of our residents, your philanthropy will allow us to bring back endoscopy for screenings and diagnostics, enhance preventive cancer screenings and expand rehab therapy services. Your generosity will allow us to update these areas of the hospital to make it more accessible for additional patients and new technologies.
The impact of the community’s philanthropy is apparent at Ridgeview Arlington Campus with many updates across the site, including the addition of the chemo/infusion treatment area. Now, your donations will help us upgrade aging infrastructure, add mammography equipment and increase the number of stretchers in the Emergency Department.
Women & Children’s Services
Look around and you can see how fast our community is growing with an influx of younger families who expect access to the very best health care. Ridgeview must be ready, which is why we’re raising funds to replace aging equipment in our Birthing Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and to support more staff education to ensure our teams are trained and ready for any medical situation.
Pediatrics
No one wants to be away from their family when receiving health care, especially our smallest patients. Your donations will allow us to advance the training and education of staff so we can care for more children close to home. With this, we’ll introduce a newborn hospital rounding model and expand additional pediatric services, including a limited stay unit where children with specific diagnoses can be treated at Ridgeview – eliminating the need to transfer them to metro-area hospitals. Funds are also needed to provide pediatric-specific equipment and technology, including stethoscopes and nebulizers, to support the unique developmental needs of our pediatric patients.
Surgery
Your philanthropy will support a variety of surgical initiatives, including the replacement of aging operating room tables. Additional support is needed to update our existing ear, nose, and throat (ENT) navigation system and advance the technology of our complex spine surgery platform.
Pharmacy
An automated medication dispensing system is a critical piece of technology that ensures safe and efficient dispensing of medicine from 40 cabinets throughout Ridgeview’s four hospital campuses. The benefits of the systems are numerous and include increased access to medications, medication safety, diversion prevention, narcotics security and clinical staff convenience. Our current dispensing systems are becoming outdated and must be replaced with new technology.
