Ridgeview Foundation Receives $300,000 Grant from the Otto Bremer Trust
Ridgeview Foundation is pleased to announce a $300,000 matching funds grant from the Otto Bremer Trust to support the remodel and expansion of the Norman and Ann Hoffman Emergency Center on Ridgeview’s Waconia campus.
The grant recognizes Ridgeview’s goal to improve the emergency health care experience by providing the latest advancements in life-saving care to meet the needs of the community.
“On behalf of the Ridgeview community, I thank the Otto Bremer Trust for supporting the expansion and renovation of the Norman and Ann Hoffman Emergency Center,” said Mike Phelps, president and CEO, Ridgeview Medical Center. “This gift will help us continue to respond to our growing communities and deliver excellent emergency care for years to come.”
The $18 million construction project, slated to be completed in 2020, is designed to enhance emergency services, improve overall patient experience and enable Ridgeview to stay on the forefront of technology. Key features include added patient privacy, improved trauma care, enhanced emergency behavioral health care, and updated technology for diagnosing and treating patients.
The emergency center will expand by 23,000 square feet, which includes eight new observation rooms, a revamped clinical workstation and a redesigned parking area for easier accessibility. In addition, the project includes specialized areas for pediatric patients and space to meet the needs of the growing geriatric population.
“Otto Bremer Trust is happy to support Ridgeview with emergency department capital improvements to meet medical needs in west-central Minnesota,” said Ann Pagel, Otto Bremer Trust. “We are proud to be a part of the positive difference Ridgeview is making in the community.”
The matching funds grant stipulates that Ridgeview Foundation raise an additional $300,000 to secure the grant. We need your help!
