UVB light therapy is effective for treating psoriasis, vitiligo, and other skin conditions and is a safe treatment for children, pregnant and nursing women and even immuno-suppressed individuals. It is the use of specific wavelengths of light that are a natural component of sunlight and part of the ultraviolet spectrum of light, shone directly on affected areas of skin.
