What is an Otolaryngologist?
An otolaryngologist is a physician who completes at least five years of surgical residency training. This includes one year in general surgical training and four years in otorhinolaryngology — head and neck surgery. Following residency training, some otolaryngologists complete an advance sub-specialty fellowship, where training can be one to two years in duration.
Procedure Highlight: Sinus Implants
Ridgeview offers SINUVA sinus implants for adults who have had sinus surgery and suffer from nasal polyps. The implant is designed to treat nasal polyps in patients 18 years or older through the slow release of a corticosteroid over time. SINUVA is made from bioabsorbable polymers designed to soften over time. Ridgeview also offers the Latera implants, which support the nasal valves to improve airflow, and the placement of bone anchored hearing aids (BAHA) for patients suffering from hearing loss.

Wade Swenson, MD, offers an environmental allergy service with no referral needed. This service includes environmental allergy skin testing, allergy shots and oral immune therapy allergy drops.
Dr. Swenson works with adult and pediatric patients to tailor a treatment plan designed to help them find relief. Working with patient’s health history, a physical examination and allergy testing through skin tests, Dr. Swenson offers several treatment options for environmental allergies.
